How to pay

You can pay your Council Tax using Online payments,  Council Tax Direct Debit online form, or print a  Direct Debit form for Council Tax (PDF) [146KB] . To make payments by telephone, call our 24 hour payment line 08000 213995 and follow the instructions given.

Your account may be paid over ten or twelve monthly instalments, unless the account is issued after the beginning of a financial year (i.e. 1st April) when a reduced number of instalments would apply.

Irrespective of how you have elected to pay recovery proceedings may be commenced for the balance of the years charge if instalments are not paid by the due dates.

To make payment over the internet by debit/credit card, use Online payments.

To make payments by telephone, call our 24 hour FREEPHONE payment line (0800) 021 3995 and follow the instructions given, or call us direct on (023) 9258 4242 to make a payment during work hours.

Payments may be made at the Town Hall, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 4:45pm on production of your account or reference number.

Cheque's should be made payable to Gosport Borough Council and sent to, Town Hall, High Street, Gosport, PO12 1EB.

Please write your account number on the back of the cheque. NEVER send cash by post.
