A | Organisation name | This is Gosport Borough Council |
B | Unique Property Reference Number (UPRN) | This is the unique reference number given to each asset through the NLPG system |
C | Unique Asset ID | This is a unique number used internally to identify all the Council's assets and is currently under review |
D | Name | This is the common name for the asset used by the Council; some assets are known by other names but this is the one in general use and which would appear in official addressing |
E | No | The number of the property taken from the official address where a street number exists |
F | Street | The street where the property is located taken from the official address or where no official address exists is the nearest or most obvious street location |
G | Post Town | Taken from the official address, this is either Gosport or Lee-on the-Solent |
H | Post Code | Taken from the official address but not all properties have post codes |
I | X Co-ordinate | The co-ordinates identify the location of the asset in accordance with the Ordnance Survey Grid System |
J | Y Co-ordinate | The co-ordinates identify the location of the asset in accordance with the Ordnance Survey Grid System |
K | Tenure | This will be either be: 'Freehold': where the Council owns the asset 'Leasehold': where the Council leases the asset in from another owner |
L | Tenure Category | Describes the Council's form of holding and use of the asset which may be: 'Occupied by the LA': where the asset is occupied and used by the Council in the provision of its services 'Leasehold': where the asset is owned by the Council but leased out to a third party 'Sub-Leasehold': where the asset is leased in by the Council and sub-let to a third party 'Licence': where the Council as freeholder or leaseholder has granted a Licence to occupy to a third party (a Licence being usually a letting on a short term basis or for seasonal use) 'Ground Leasehold' where the Council has let land to a third party for a long period of time for the erection or development of buildings. At the end of the lease the land and possibly the properties depending on the lease arrangements would revert back to the Council 'Vacant': where an asset, in a lettable condition, is currently vacant or pending disposal or alternative use |

N | Size | For buildings this is Gross Internal Area in square metres (in accordance with the RICS Code of Measuring practice. This data is not currently available but is part of an ongoing data improvement process. For land this is the asset area in Hectares. This data is not currently available but will be included at a later date as part of an ongoing data improvement process. |
O | Use category | This will be one of: 'Operational': where the asset is used to deliver a Council service, whether statutory (including statutory services delivered by contractors) or non-statutory 'Non-operational': where the asset is not used to deliver a Council service, usually where the asset is occupied by a third party 'Community': used for public gardens and heritage assets 'Infrastructure': used to describe physical assets such as sea defences, pontoons and bridges |
P | Use/Service Offered | This describes what function the asset is used for. Naturally this is a broad-ranging list and is broken down into identifiable functions or general service delivery descriptions or 'third party' where the asset is leased out |
