Gosport Borough Local Plan 2011-2029

The Council has prepared a local plan for the Borough, The Gosport Borough Local Plan 2011-2029 (Adopted October 2015), which comprises:

• the Policies Map

The Local Plan sets out the Council's proposals for the development and use of land from 2011 - 2029, and forms the basis for dealing with planning applications.

Background to the process

The Local Plan went through several stages to adoption (PDF, 90 KB) and was supported by an evidence base and a Sustainability Appraisal.

Local Plan Review

In accordance with Government guidance the Council is required to keep its Local Plan up to date. Consequently it is now preparing a revised Local Plan to cover the period to 2040.
