Payment must be received within 28 days of the issue of the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) to avoid further action. The reduced charge (as per your PCN) will only be acceptable if received within 14 days of the issue of a PCN. For the purposes of calculating the days, please note that the end of the fourteenth day is midnight on day fourteen (day one being the day the PCN was issued).
If you do not pay the PCN within 28 days, a Notice to Owner will be sent to the registered keeper demanding full payment. Failure to respond to the Notice to Owner and any further statutory documents will result in the debt increasing. If payment is still not received, the debt will be registered with the Traffic Enforcement Centre (TEC) and Enforcement Agents may be instructed.
