Economic Development and Regeneration

The Economic Development and Regeneration team is responsible for the planning and delivery of a wide range of initiatives and front line services supporting the economic development, tourism and culture of Gosport.

This work - often done in partnership with local businesses, organisations and communities; commercial investors and developers; and other public sector organisations - includes:

• assisting Gosport based businesses and business start-ups to help create and sustain jobs
• enhancing the town centre and attracting investment, businesses and shoppers
• improving residents' access to and awareness of cultural offers
• promoting Gosport as a location for businesses, investors and visitors
• providing and facilitating support for residents to help them into employment and training

The team is also responsible for:

• investingosport.co.uk, the Council's business support and inward investment website
• discovergosport.co.uk, its tourism, visitor and events website; and
• gosporthaz.org.uk, the website for the Gosport Heritage Action Zone and Gosport High Street Heritage Action Zone.
