Technical and Design Assistance

The Borough Council will require all new developments within Conservation Areas to be of appropriate materials and the highest standard of design. To assist applicants the Borough Council has prepared a series of pamphlets on design. Officers will also be pleased to discuss proposals with potential applicants at an early stage to ensure that these standards are achieved.

Advice is also available on techniques and materials for the repair of older buildings through the Conservation Officer.
