Want to save time, save the environment and save money? Then you'll love the new-look Park & Float ticket from Gosport Ferry, Gosport Borough Council and First Bus.

From Monday 28 June, a new Park & Float scheme will start a six-month trial, providing a combined parking, bus and ferry ticket - a fast and stress-free way to travel between Gosport and Portsmouth that's also better for the environment.

The new Park & Float scheme also has more flexibility, with passengers being able to choose a daily or 10-day carnet ticket. No need for lengthy season passes, so you can save money and time with a shorter commute and enjoy a leisurely cruise with sea views.

Customers wanting to Park & Float simply need to go to Walpole Park car park, use the MiPermit app to buy their ticket, then take a walk through the High Street. Alternatively, they can use the combined free bus ticket for a quick and convenient one-stop-hop to the ferry terminal with buses leaving every (5?) minutes.   

The frequent ferry crossing takes just over four minutes, and runs every 15 minutes from 5.30am to 11pm. Tickets start at £7 for a day return or £9.90 for a family day return - which includes parking at Walpole Park, return bus journey and the ferry.  Regular travellers can get a flexible 10-day carnet ticket for £40 or a monthly season ticket at £70 - saving up to 30% on standard car park and ferry prices!

We hope by working with Gosport Ferry and First Bus we can make things a little bit easier and cheaper for people to travel, help to improve the air quality in the region and encourage people back out with confidence."
