Grange and Alver Valley by-election results

The result of the Gosport Borough Council by-election on Thursday 4 July has been announced following a count at Gosport Town Hall.

Following the death of Cllr Maggie Morgan, one seat was up for election in the Grange and Alver Valley electoral ward.

The seat was won by Labour Party candidate Jonathan Brown

The political make-up of the council is now: 15 Liberal Democrat, 10 Conservative, three Labour. 

The Liberal Democrats retain overall control of Gosport Borough Council.
