Gosport's Best Independent Business Award

A new competition aims to find "Gosport's Best Independent Business", as voted for by the public.

Celebrate your favourite local independent business over the past year by nominating them as Gosport's Best Independent Business. Whether it's a local coffee shop, hairdressers or market stall, all small businesses are eligible.

An independent business is a small business that is not affiliated with a larger corporation or chain, has less than 50 employees and a turnover of less than £10m.

Prize package for the winner

The winner will be the business with the most nominations. The top prize includes promotion as winners of the competition through a press release and social media, and a 1-2-1 marketing support package including bespoke video content. The winner and runners-up will also be invited to a celebration event with the Mayor of Gosport at the Town Hall on the evening of Thursday 30 January 2025.

Get involved as a business

Mobilise your customers and community to support you by putting a poster in your window or front desk, and putting a shout out on your social media or email newsletter. You can download and print a poster to display yourself below, or pick up a pre-printed copy from the Town Hall reception.
