Harbourside and Town by-election result

The result of the Gosport Borough Council by-election on Thursday 21 November has been announced following a count at Gosport Town Hall.

Following the death of Cllr Alan Durrant, one seat was up for election in the Harbourside and Town electoral ward.

The seat was won by Lesley Meenaghan (Conservative).

The political make-up of the council is now: 15 Liberal Democrat, 11 Conservative, 2 Labour. 

The Liberal Democrats retain overall control of Gosport Borough Council.
