Guidance on taking on the tenancy in your own right

The Council will continually formally review the tenancy, with a view to withdrawing from the tenancy after your tenant has been in the tenancy for a period of twelve months.  Before withdrawing from the landlord and Council agreement we will take into consideration payments made to the rent account by the tenant and the tenant's conduct throughout the term of the tenancy. We will also consult directly with you before taking any steps to withdraw from the tenancy.  The Damage Guarantee provided shall remain in place for two years in accordance with the terms of the original agreement.
