Call for Sites

Potential site allocations

The Borough Council is continuing work on the Gosport Borough Local Plan to cover the period to 2038. A consultation was undertaken for 10 weeks between September and December 2021 on the Consultation Draft (Regulation 18). The Council is now working towards a final round of consultation in 2024 (Regulation 19 consultation).

As part of the plan making process, the Council is again inviting any organisations and individuals with an interest in the Borough to put forward sites which may be suitable for development. The 'call for sites' helps the Council to ensure it is aware of all potential sites that are available for consideration. The Council also wishes to know about those sites which you may consider should be retained in their current land use, and sites which could be used for open spaces, sites for nature conservation, and other new opportunities for green infrastructure.

The Council undertook the last call for sites in 2019. There is no need to re-submit sites submitted in 2019 or since. Similarly there is no need to submit information for sites that have been granted planning permission and/or where a planning application is currently under consideration as we are aware of these proposals. However if you have new or more up-to-date information about previously submitted sites that may help inform our consideration please provide us with the latest details.

The Call for Sites 2023 closed on Friday 9^th June, The Council will now consider submissions as part of the plan-making process. For the time being sites can still be submitted but please ensure your submission is with us as soon as possible.

Please note that putting a site forward does not automatically mean it will be included in the plan. Nominated sites will be assessed through the plan making process.
