Gosport Borough Local Plan 2011-2029

The Council has prepared a local plan for the Borough, The Gosport Borough Local Plan 2011-2029 (Adopted October 2015), which comprises:

• the Policies Map

The Local Plan sets out the Council's proposals for the development and use of land from 2011 - 2029, and forms the basis for dealing with planning applications.

Background to the process

The Local Plan went through several stages to  adoption (PDF) [90KB] and was supported by an evidence base and a Sustainability Appraisal.

Local Plan Review

In accordance with Government guidance the Council is required to keep its Local Plan up to date. Consequently it is now preparing a revised Local Plan to cover the period to 2040.
